MJ Hard Brush Textures

A texture pack designed to complement Ucupaint

I love the Ucupaint addon. For me, it has completely removed my reliance on other paid texture painting software.

My one gripe is that I always have to hack together brush textures to use, so as a remedy to that, I finally decided to put together a proper Blender Asset Pack.

How to Install

Unzip the zip file, and add it to your Asset Libraries path in Blender. Hit Edit -> Preferences -> File Paths, then find the folder that you extracted:

How to Use

In Texture Paint mode simply select the brush you want and paint away:

I use the "Erase Alpha" blend mode on some of the brushes to remove material (can be seen in screenshot above). You can also set things like random rotation that will make painting better. These aren't set by default but you can easily set them in your .blend file.

Bonus Script - Generate your own brushes

I wrote a script that allows you to create brushes quickly based on a template, in this case I copied the "Paint Hard" brush.

You can run this as a python script inside Blender if you want to play with it (use with caution - probably only if you know what you are doing since this accesses the filesystem natively)

All textures made with Krita and GIMP
